Schmetz "Specialty" Needles This pack of needles is for our Ultrafeed, Sailrite 111, the Professional and Thompson Mini-Walker sewing machines. "SD1" Needles — Optimized for fine leather or clothing leather. Also works well for super heavy sailcloth assemblies. Smaller cutting point than "DI" needle. Partially cuts and then pushes the fibers out of the way. Needle sizes are listed two ways, e.g., a #22 needle is also a "140" (European description) needle. A #12 is a small needle. A #22 is a very large needle.
